What you'll do in your first role
The HR Graduate scheme features a series of rotational placements. Graduates will initially be placed in three month projects in various disciplines to include Recruitment, Learning & Development and Employee Relations. This gives Graduates a real breadth of experience and a rounded understanding of the HR Function as well as allowing time to study and gain a CIPD qualification.
Your first big role will come in year two when Graduates move into a professional HR role in either our Learning & Development or Recruitment teams.
What we'll offer
You'll be joining one the UK's biggest pub and restaurant businesses and one of the Job Crowds listed Top 100 Company for Graduates to work for in 2015/16. As a Corporate Graduate, you'll benefit from a great starting salary, a company car, private healthcare, life assurance, plus holiday, pension and Sharesave scheme, together with extra perks like 20% employee discount at our 1700 restaurants and pubs and High Street shopping discounts.
We'll help you get started on the programme with a month's free accommodation to help you settle in and meet other Graduates and you'll have a Graduate buddy to call on who's already been through the programme so knows exactly how you'll be feeling as you embark on our exciting and challenging development programme.
During my year as an HR graduate I was able to experience working in many of the different HR teams and gain a valuable insight into how we are all driving the people plan forward, whether this meant recruiting the best talent and training them up for a new opening, or working on strategic projects! The opportunity to start studying for my CIPD qualification alongside the responsibility and variety at work gave me scope to develop and stretch myself, and enabled me to step into my first role within an exciting change project.
It's so hard to choose! I loved working with our frontline teams in my Guest Service Training Manager placement, but being involved in strategic projects gave me access to make an impact across the wider team and organisation, which was also really rewarding.
