RSS Crown Carveries team save the day and a life in Liverpool
We are immensely proud of the hard-working teams in all of our brands. But the team at Crown Carveries Liverpool proved itself a cut above the rest through its lightning response to a guest choking in the carvery on Christmas Day. Paul Lang and his team at the Greenhills in Liverpool sprang into action and saved a man's life.
The guest started choking on a piece of food; an ambulance was called immediately but the guest quickly lost consciousness. The team worked on him for several minutes, successfully administering the Heimlich manoeuvre, which made him cough up the problematic food. With the food dislodged, his airways were clear so he was able to breathe again.
Guest praises teamwork
Another guest who was in the Greenhills at the time said: "As soon as it was all over they went back to work sorting people's meals out like it was just another day at the office. They were heroes and should be commended by Crown Carveries and the whole community; this is just a great pub with top, top managers and staff."
