Continuing our investment in the next generation we’re teaming up with Greene King and Marston’s to create “Loving Hospitality”.
The hospitality and tourism industry is the fourth largest industry in the UK, employing over 2 million people. From our colleagues inventing breath-taking menus to those creating unforgettable experiences for guests - making sure we recruit the best is hugely important to us.
Continuing our investment in the next generation we’re teaming up with Greene King and Marston’s to create “Loving Hospitality”. Our aim is to showcase the best in hospitality and raise awareness of the fantastic opportunities a hospitality apprenticeship can offer young people.
Last week, at the National Apprenticeship Shows in Yorkshire, we held a ‘Loving Hospitality’ stand with Greene King and Marston’s. We met lots of eager and bright school leavers who were keen to get involved in our “Loving Hospitality” apprenticeship challenges. Featuring sherbet taste testing, our extremely popular “pour the pint” challenge (don’t worry it was iced tea, but don’t tell anyone!!) and a session with our Master Whittler who showed off his cutting-edge culinary skills, we got young people in Yorkshire thinking about their future careers. We just can’t wait for the next shows in Cheltenham and Bolton next month!
With such exciting opportunities available to young people, an apprenticeship in hospitality not only lets our apprentices break the traditional 9-5 but also feel welcomed in a fun and flexible environment. Combining on-the-job experience with an in-depth, all round training programme, the apprenticeships of today can really make you stand out against the crowd. All of our apprentices receive regular meetings and support, whilst they take on new challenges in the workplace that helps create a clear pathway for future development. At the same time, apprentices learn how to serve with pride with regular reviews for support and guidance, face-to-face teaching and online learning sessions. It really can be the key to unlocking their potential.
So, do you see why we are ‘loving hospitality’ now? An apprenticeship with us can be extremely valuable and exciting route to a future career.
