EAT WELL & STAY HYDRATED

Think about your diet. Your appetite may change if your routine does. Eating regularly can keep your blood sugars stable and help your mood and energy levels. Try your best to stick to a balanced diet. You should also drink water regularly, it's important for both your mental and physical health.

Learn somthing new

Why not use your time to learn something new? Whether that's a skill, language or magic trick. There are loads of free online resources to support this. LinkedIn Learning has a one month free for all their courses.

Do that thing

Do that thing you always meant to do, but never got round to last lockdown. Maybe it’s a DIY project (most of the big DIY stores offer delivery). Maybe you want to learn a new language or take up a new hobby. Watch that box set you always wanted to, or read those books you never had time to. Now is the time.

Keep moving

Try and create an exercise routine that you can stick to daily. By keeping active you will build mental resilience and feel more positive about your situation. Set yourself exercise targets. Why not join our "around the world in 30 days" challenge

Have some "Me" Time

Meditation is a great way to look after the health of your mind.  Meditation isn’t about becoming a different person, a new person, or even a better person. It’s about training in awareness and getting a healthy sense of perspective.

KEEP IN TOUCH

Make sure you are keeping in touch with the outside world through phone calls, emails or social media. Don’t worry alone. Talking to others helps keep a perspective on current events. So, speak to family, friends and colleagues, and don’t let worry fester into anxiety.

ONLINE VIDEO CALLING

Using video calling is a great way to keep in touch with your friends and family or even hosting a zoom quiz. In the famous words of Blue Peter, here's one we made ealier why not try our catchpharse quiz.

Buddy System - staying connected

Since going into lock down many of us have been relying on social media to feel connected. But what about those people in our teams who aren’t tech savvy and perhaps don’t use social media?

We have a buddy system to help the most isolated people in our community stay in touch. Buddies can be someone to call during the week for a natter or someone to help with their shopping.

Anyone in your team can be a buddy, It’s totally up to you and your team! If there’s someone in your team that you think would benefit from the buddy scheme, speak to your General Manager.

Please feel free print off the letterbox leaflet and start using it to support your local community.
