As the Operations Manager for Miller and Carter, you will be directly responsible for leading, coaching and inspiring your team of 6 Area Managers to deliver the brand’s strategic plan, reporting to, and working alongside the Operations Director. You will play a key role in the evolution and development of the brand strategy with the support of central teams to include marketing, human resources, property, and finance. You will also have the opportunity to work on company and brand level projects alongside delivering an extensive and fast paced capital investment programme. Our successful candidate will have a background of operational excellence, accompanied by a comprehensive understanding of the pub food and drink marketplace, and robust examples of delivering outstanding results.
There is the opportunity to flex the role geographically, to suit the successful candidate’s location.
Miller and Carter is a collection of 128 (and growing!) fantastic premium steakhouses, stretching across the UK in a variety of suburban, city and rural settings. Beef is a labour of love here at Miller & Carter. We put everything into pursuing the perfect steak, from the field to the butcher’s block to the grill. We have our very own ‘Steak School’ so our people (you included!) are the experts in how to prepare and cook each cut to exact personal preference. Our menu is complimented by delicious bespoke drinks and polished, friendly service. The rich variety of sites and teams makes this Operations role especially exciting.
The newly appointed Operations Manager must have the ability to deliver high levels of team engagement, inspiring them to deliver a consistently exceptional proposition, through first class operational execution, with passion and pride. The ideal candidate for this role will be highly organised and energising, future focused, a real ambassador for the brand and of course lead from the front.
They must be a proven high performing operator and able to demonstrate outstanding people, profit, guest, and practices results.

Experience required:
- Proven track record of leading high performing management level teams to deliver exceptional results.
- Strong understanding of operational P&L and capital investment.
- Evidence of being able to inspire and engage a diverse team and leveraging culture to drive performance.
- Has a natural ability to interpret data and insight, translating into operational action.
- Can evidence having led successful projects, delivered on time and to optimal impact.
