We have a fantastic opportunity for an Assistant Gifting & Partnerships Manager to join us on a 12 month fixed term basis within our Marketing Innovation team to provide further support and expertise in this rapidly growing area.

In this varied and challenging role, you will be responsible for developing and delivering marketing plans across our Gift Card business to drive YoY sales and volume growth. You will manage the portfolio partnerships marketing plan to drive new guest acquisition, volume and frequency across M&B brands. Alongside this, you will manage the optimisation and implementation of card-linked marketing activity for the business; implementing campaigns and ensuring profitability measures are met. Finally, you will act as gift card and partnerships champion within the business, ensuring that they are always considered in brand marketing planning, particularly around key dates.

 

Working in a mobile role, you will be reporting into the Gifting & Partnerships Manager, and part of the wider Marketing Innovation team.

The Opportunity – Assistant Gifting & Partnerships Manager

  • Responsible for developing and delivering marketing plans across the Dining Out Gift Card and all M&B brand Gift Cards to drive sales and volume across all channels including malls, in-venue, online and B2B. Use insights to drive the marketing strategy looking at current customers, drivers to purchase, customer need states etc.
  • Deliver effective through the line campaigns across CRM, digital (including search), in store and social media, collaborating with cross-functional teams, to drive YoY sales and volume growth
  • Key account management of larger B2B Gift Card clients, agreeing and implementing yearly marketing plans within their channels.
  • Manage the gift card mall relationships with retailers eg. Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Amazon, including the development and implementation of marketing plans.
  • Test new instore, online and B2B marketing concepts and customer journey improvements, and leverage customer insights and analytics to inform future activity.
  • Support in the creation of the strategy for a portfolio of partners to drive new guest acquisition and incremental sales.
  • Manage the partnerships marketing plan and the day to day third party and internal partnerships to deliver activity.
  • Assist in the implementation of card-linked marketing activity for the business implementing campaigns and ensuring profitability measures are met.
  • Working with the Gifting and Partnerships Manager, drive ideation exercises, investigate new market and consumer gifting needs to define and develop the future M&B gift strategy.
  • Manage the assigned gift card marketing budget effectively. 

 

What you’ll need to bring to the Assistant Gifting & Partnerships Manager role:

  • Proven experience in a similar Partnerships or Gifting role
  • Experience within a large multi-layer organisation, highly desirable 
  • Highly numerate and commercially focused
  • Well organised with strong project management skills
  • Great ability to build, develop and maintain strong working relationships
  • High level of retail marketing experience across the full marketing mix.
  • Good understanding of consumer segmentation, profiling, analysis and channel development.
  • A strategic and commercial attitude to sales and marketing.
  • An absolute focus on delivery and implementation, on time, to plan and on budget.
  • Degree educated [preferably marketing discipline] or equivalent experience in brand marketing roles.
