Due to internal promotion, we are actively seeking to recruit an Operational Excellence Manager, reporting directly into our Head of Operation Excellence.  This role is a rare and exciting permanent opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Operational Excellence Manager to support our Pubs Division (High Street, Sizzling & Ember Inns).

This is a great development opportunity for a committed individual with sound operational experience within a hospitality business, who has a hunger for focusing on operational excellence and continual improvement. Partnering our Divisional Director for Pubs and their direct leadership teams, this is a mobile role that has an element of travel required.


The Opportunity – Operational Excellence Manager

  • Drawing on your experience to effectively play a key role as a divisional facilitator, a planner, and problem solver, whilst being Pubs divisions conscience, communications expert and coach
  • Ensuring that the Pubs divisions activity is fully planned and communicated throughout the brand operations team
  • Ensuring that all central activity is effectively communicated and actioned within the division.
  • Working closely with and partnering aligned central teams to ensure activity if fit for purpose for delivery with frontline teams
  • Delivering in partnership with the Divisional Director and their direct reports to ensure divisional and brand priorities are clear, planned and executed through divisional meetings and appropriate communication channels
  • Working closely with brand aligned support teams to ensure they are following planning and communications processes and delivering communications in the correct timeframes against their functional plans
  • Collaborating across the wider Operational Excellence Team to continuously improve processes, communications, tools, and technology to enhance the efficiency of frontline teams and the delivery of company activity.
  • Innovating and implementing evolution to ways of working across the division in partnership with the operational lead

What you’ll need to bring to the Operational Excellence Manager role: 

  • Operational experience in senior roles within hospitality is desirable
  • Ability to, and be confident in influencing senior executives and frontline operations colleagues alike
  • Excellent listening and coaching skills to assist aligned teams to achieve optimal outputs
  • Strong verbal reasoning skills to assist in creating clear, concise, and effective communications.
  • Excellent written and grammatical skills.
  • Excellent ability to work with all key software e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Sharepoint
