We have a great opportunity within our Customer Marketing team for two Divisional Planning Managers here at Mitchells & Butlers, one of which is a permanent role, the other a 12 month fixed term contract covering a period of maternity leave.

Our brands are split across four divisions – City, Premium, Pubs & Restaurants. As we continue to grow and develop our agenda, we are actively recruiting into our Divisional Planning team to support, build and execute the Brand, Divisional and portfolio marketing plans via digital communication channels. Interfacing with the wider internal Marketing Central support team, you will drive successful activity at the frontline, drawing on a deep understanding of our guests, delivering a programme of continuous improvement to find greater efficiencies, reduce duplication and ultimately increase measures of success, including sales and profit across divisionally aligned Mitchells & Butlers brands. 

 

As a Divisional Planning Manager, you will support the conversion of brand plans into a Marcomms strategy, being considerate of the implementation, execution, and post evaluation to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.

What will I be doing?


  • Supporting our brand teams deliver their marketing plans across all marcomms channels. 
  • Continuous improvement, refinement, evolution and advocacy of the ‘Planning’ process using technology to support the team e.g. workflow management tools 
  • Continuous assessment of activity relevancy and return on investment. 
  • Interpretation of brand strategies / tactical campaigns into implementation through the marketing mix [web, app, social, email etc]. 
  • Using consumer digital performance, insight and trends to inform briefs and improve efficiency of workload to minimise effort and maximise returns 
  • Delivering digital marketing activities end to end. Working with the channel specialists to shape the brief and optimise the benefit to the brand teams. 
  • Updating the brand teams on the status of project workflow and helping to prioritise tasks through the development teams 
  • Maintaining a summary and analysis of all digital campaigns to help lead future marketing decisions 



What do I need? 


Just like our brands, our teams are diverse. You’ll need/have... 


  • Experience in a strategic marketing planning and/or marketing role 
  • Ability to independently source supporting data and research from the various internal teams 
  • Experience of resource planning, prioritisation and scheduling of projects 
  • Agency, account management background is preferred 
  • Working collaboratively with broad range of agencies to brief and scope, QA execution of digital marketing activities 
  • An awareness of how digital fits within the overarching communications landscape 
  • Ability to work across a broad number of internal and external stakeholders 
  • Excellent presentation sand communication skills 
  • Previous experience of workflow and asset management tools preferred
