This exciting opportunity for a Finance Manager requires an individual who can provide seamless financial management and analysis across a number of digital sales channels, giving proactive and value added insight into all areas of performance. You will be a confident communicator who can play an influential role across various teams who are focused on driving digital sales and innovation. You will work closely with the Head of Finance and other internal teams to unlock to value within data across the organisation, proactively enhancing our data journey.

 

As Finance Manager, you will report into the Head of Finance for Digital & Data. The Opportunity – Finance Manager, Digital & Data


Your role and responsibilities will be challenging and varied, including the following: -


  • Provide financial support and analysis to Operations and Marketing relating to digital sales channels, including Delivery, Click and Collect, Order at Table and other Digital Partnerships:
    • Performance analysis, providing insight and influencing decisions
    • Specific technical analysis as required, including margin, pricing, promotion and packaging
    • Support brand aligned Finance Managers with queries
  •  Preparation and distribution of various weekly and periodic reports across the digital area:
    • Weekly reporting to include all Takeaway (Delivery, Click and Collect, Too Good to Go) and Order at Table sales and other non-financial KPI’s
    • Periodic reporting to include Takeaway P&L and Takeaway Scorecard
  • Establish and lead the Takeaway profit and scorecard reviews with aligned operators focusing on underperformance and the improvements required
  • Work with marketing to review promotion performance and assess proposed promotions within the digital sales channels
  • Support the Own Channel Delivery project
    • Evolve Own Channel Delivery reporting as the project grows working with the data team to establish best practice reporting
    • Analysis and insight with commercial recommendations to improve use, profitability and determine roll out plans
  • Preparation of budgets and forecasts for cost lines associated with digital sales across the estate
  • Supporting the Head of Finance in the big data project; working with internal teams to consider how we can better utilise our data to unlock value across the company
  • Support the Head of Finance in delivery of ad-hoc projects e.g. consideration of delivery dark kitchens, new digital partnerships, further roll out of existing digital sales channels, assessing new business opportunities, reviewing performance and managing multiple senior stakeholders to support meeting financial targets
  • Support the Head of Finance by covering meetings as required, and supporting training and induction of the Finance Graduate within the team
  • Promote financial best practice; work with Finance colleagues to achieve team objectives, improve the overall effectiveness of the team, and live the Brand Finance PRIDE values

 


Just like our brands, our teams are diverse. What we’d like to see from you: -

 

  • A Professional Accountancy Qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA). 2 years’ post-qualification experience in a relevant role is preferred, but not essential
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a natural ability to present financial information to non-finance staff
  • Sound commercial judgement and excellent analytical skills are essential
  • The ability to support and help operational teams whilst maintaining an objective perspective in providing a critical and challenging analysis of performance
  • An ability to simplify the complex for clear and concise onward communication
  • Take full ownership of responsibilities, influencing stakeholders and making a difference across our brand portfolio
  • Effective multi-task management, moving at pace and using judgment to prioritise competing demands
  • An ability to work in new, unchartered areas; you will thrive on your ability to problem solve, innovate, and adapt to constant evolution and change
