As a Food Technologist you will be responsible for ensuring all food products within your product portfolio are safe to consume and that accurate technical data is produced and enabling the provision of allergen information to our guests so they can make informed decisions on the food they consume.
Working in a mobile role, you’ll be part of our Safety Team on a 12-month fixed term basis to cover a period of maternity.

What will I be doing…?
• Accurately producing brand specific allergen guides in a suitable format for our guests’ profile
• Managing suppliers to ensure that products, services and information are consistently delivered to meet the safety, quality and legality expectations of our guests, whilst managing suppliers’ performance.
• Providing supplier coaching visits to ensure MAB policies are met and maintained and conducting supplier audits to assess and coach on allergen safety risks
• Investigating reports of alleged foreign bodies and close out the root cause of the complaint with the issuer
• Investigating quality complaints and assisting development managers and brand teams to implementing changes to reduce the identified trend
• Verifying cooking methods with development managers to evaluate newly identified procedures and presenting the evidence to our primary authority partnerships
• Ensuring all development work undertaken takes into account the requirements of all relevant legislation, industrial codes of practise, HACCP requirements and the Food Safety Act
• Working with Food Development Managers with encountering issues within the product development process
What do I need…?
Just like our brands, our teams are diverse. You’ll need...
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to maintain professional relationships and interact and influence a wide variety of functions across a broad range of (technical and non-technical) business stakeholders
• Manufacturing, Chef & or Restaurant operational experience would be advantageous
• A good understanding of production processes and development limitations
• Ability to translate complex data feeds into customer-facing information
• Ability to maintain a methodical approach on projects, working to strict deadlines through strong project management skills
• A problem solver with a can-do attitude and a good eye for detail
