We have an exciting opportunity for a creative and passionate Social Media Content Creator to join our City Division Brand Marketing team, focusing on our well loved Nicholson’s brand.

 

Nicholson’s Pub collection operates 82 pubs across England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. As a British brand with a heritage of over 150 years, we pride ourselves on our position as purveyors of perfect pints and unbeatable pies. Nicholson’s has identified a need to maximise the value of brand and local social media, creating engaging content and targeted paid social to improve engagement, increase awareness and followers at brand and pub level, and ultimately drive footfall into our businesses.


As Social Media Content Creator for our Nicholson’s brand, this role offers a real opportunity to make an impact and shape social media content of one of Mitchells & Butlers best known brands. Working in a mobile role, you will be in a full time role Monday – Friday, which may include some peak time visits, including evenings and weekends. Reporting into the Nicholson’s Marketing Manager, you will be part of the wider Brand Marketing team.

The Opportunity – Social Media Content Creator

  • Working closely with our Brand Marketing Team to help shape the social strategy, and then help execute it at a Brand and local level.
  • Lead/provide guidance, and deliver relevant training, to a team of Local Social District Champions.
  • Create monthly content plans to be cascaded to Local Social District Champions
  • Generate content ideas, brief agencies (when required) and bring wider digital ideas and opportunities to hit KPIs.
  • Capture imagery and video content for relevant social media platforms, Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok.
  • Foster and develop relationships with local content creators/influencers.
  • Work with suppliers/partners on reciprocal social media marketing opportunities.
  • Repurpose UGC as/when required.
  • Support remodels and launch events.
  • Working with the Divisional Marketing manager on the paid social budget and activity.
  • Report on campaign performance, including learnings and recommendations for next steps.
  • Be comfortable using social media management tools.
  • Keep on top of social media trends.

 

What you’ll need to bring to the Social Media Content Creator role: 

Just like our brands, our teams are diverse. You’ll have/be..

  • A social media native who is comfortable to adapt and change at the speed of social, working collaboratively and building relationships with our Retail Teams , in a fast-paced, reactive environment.
  • A passion for developing amazing creative content, but also has a thirst for data and insights.
  • A proactive approach with an excellent eye for detail.
  • Have the ability to shoot and edit mobile phone content (as well as an understanding of editing software such as Canva).
  • Understand the Nicholson’s brand tone of voice, and the types of content that makes our guests tick across different platforms.
  • Have a genuine passion and understanding of social, with a test and learn mindset and the ability to bring consumer insights into planning to help optimise performance.
  • Understanding of social media KPIs and how to translate reports into actionable insights.
  • Have excellent organisation and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ideally you will be based in London, as this is where our brand has a strong presence, with the flexibility to travel to sites across the UK as and when required
