We have an exciting opportunity for a WSOB & Bank Reconciliation Controller to join our Finance Department. This is ideal for someone who would like to gain valuable insight and experience and for an individual considering a career in Finance.
Working in our Birmingham city centre head office you will be responsible for identifying, amending and resolving all unreconciled items on the Managed House Bank Reconciliation reports and as part of a team provide a service to Operations Management by speedily resolving any unreconciled banking for the circa 1650 MAB outlets. You will also be responsible for highlighting any potential risks to the company by liaising with our Operational Practices Team and ensure finalised WSOB’s are submitted for all outlets and on time.

What will I be doing…?
- Identifying, investigating and reconciling all unreconciled banking items on the Managed House Bank Reconciliation report for MAB managed outlets
- Identifying and journalising all banking adjustments - cash, credit cards (including online transactions) and ATM, RD cheques, and PDQ charge-backs advising the relevant personnel accordingly
- Providing the relevant information to Operations Management in order to achieve minimum risk and preventing any fraudulent transaction
- Advising the Retail Business Manager of any Banking anomalies via e-mail, spreadsheet or telephone.
- Maintaining an effective and efficient service in order to operate within the agreed standard and timescales
- Finalising the weekly WSOB and to provide cover to the WSOB Controller when required
- Assisting in any ad-hoc exercises as required by the job objective and the Managed House Bank Reconciliation Manager
- Inputting the monthly credit card charges from BMS
What do I need…?

- Previous experience and knowledge of Excel
- Coaching ability
- Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and minimum supervision
- Knowledge of MAB back of house cash handling/banking procedure is preferrable but not essential
