We have an exciting opportunity for a HR & Payroll Test Analyst to be an integral part in our Systems & Data team within our Award-Winning Employee Shared Services Centre. Working in our Birmingham city centre head office in an office flexible role, you’ll be responsible for all testing in relation to changes to the HR/Payroll systems used within Mitchells & Butlers (primarily SAP), its data, and supporting business processes.

What will I be doing…?
- Consulting with our HR UAT Test Lead and HR Systems, Process, and Data Analysts, to proactively manage the HR change regime, ensuring that all changes are deployed in the most appropriate manner to minimise business disruption and reduce risk
- Liaising with all parties involved in system upgrades, software releases, patches, and other business process and system changes
- Developing and documenting test scenarios and conditions based on business requirements, functional specifications, and business processes
- Creating test plans and supporting documentation, collaborating with process & policy owners and system users, to ensure changes are delivered in the most efficient manner.
- Identifying and/or creating test data to fulfil the test requirements of individual system changes
- Defining, maintaining, and executing regression test scripts
- Providing communications to all interested parties as appropriate throughout test development and execution
- Assisting in managing UAT sign-off of all changes based on pre-defined acceptance criteria
- Understanding and mitigating the impact of system and process changes on the integrity of HR & Payroll data
- Ensuring that testing sign-off is scheduled and carried out in line with project plans and scheduled activities, ensuring a fast-paced and efficient delivery
- Feeding into the overall test plan and strategy for M&B as a representative of HR systems, data, & processes
- Assessing the level of impact on HR teams and the wider business for every system change and/or defect fix on existing and/or historic data whether directly or indirectly affected by the change
- Ensuring accuracy, integrity, and security of all HR & Payroll Data in line with GDPR principles
What do I need…?
Just like our brands, our teams are diverse. You’ll need...
· HR/Payroll testing experience (SAP experience desirable but not essential.)
· HR/Payroll system maintenance and regression testing experience
· Experience in functional and integration testing, with the ability to demonstrate a good understanding of testing in relation to business processes
· Experience in writing and working with test scripts
· Demonstrable experience of test execution and using test/defect management tools
· Experience of using UK HR & Payroll systems and processes.
· Knowledge of testing acceptance criteria
· Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
· High energy, with a passion for customer satisfaction and to deliver consistently high levels of service
· Excellent self-management skills, with the ability to work individually, and as part of a team, to deadlines
· Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication styles, showing tact and discretion, with an ability to express and present complex business concepts in simple terms.
· Familiarity with GDPR principles and of Security and Confidentiality issues.
