Are you a Talent professional with the ability to develop and drive talent processes across our retail business. We have exciting opportunities for a Talent Partner on both a permanent and 12 month FTC basis, to focus on the following locations;
- North of England; Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool area
- South of England; South London / South Coast
In these roles you will drive a data-led approach to talent consolidated at an organisational level, including the implementation of talent planning processes and governance to ensure greater efficiency and better organisational talent outcomes. The key focus areas will include movement of talent, progression and retention. You will also provide practical support to geographical clusters of area managers/general managers to anticipate succession gaps and formulate plans to ensure a smooth succession pipeline.
In the role of Talent Partner you will report into our Head of Talent Management in a geographically aligned role to support to area managers and general managers in clusters across our divisions. As such you will operate in a mobile role, and this may require you to have a flexible approach to travel.

The Opportunity – Talent Partner
As a geographically aligned resource aligned to Area Managers and General Manager clusters across divisions, you will;
- Use data to identify key areas of focus e.g vacancy best fits, support to achieve aspirational roles, strengthening talent pipelines, internal talent management process support, quick wins and longer term trends across the organisation, across geographies and within Divisions, Brands and Districts.
Using this analysis you will conduct:
- Cross Brand talent planning sessions to include targeted discussions with clusters of Area Managers and/or General Managers within geographical regions to establish overarching talent gaps and actions to be taken
- Brand roll up of talent info for Divisional Exec every 6 months
- Management of Retail populations attending Development Centres including post Development Centres feedback conversations with line Managers
- Provide Talent planning focus on key areas as identified by the business to ensure robust actions and backfill plans are in place. For example, high EBITDAR businesses, remodels or Under Performing Assets.
Working with subject matter experts:
- Liaising with the Recruitment team to build informed gap analysis. Provide challenge on key vacancies, time to hire etc
- Liaising with the Heads of People and People Partner (and Area Managers) to address short term issues and longer- term action plans
What you’ll need to bring to the Talent Partner role:
- Robust coaching skills
- Experience of coaching to improve performance and general management/leadership skills
- Experience of managing the requirements and expectations of a wide population of stakeholders
- Personal impact and credibility at management level
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-starter who understands the need to balance focus and flexibility
- Commercial awareness
- Resilience
- Experience in operating within a large matrix organisation
- A CIPD qualification is preferred, alongside coaching training/qualifications, or willingness to acquire
