OUR RECRUITMENT PROCESS
Applying for a new job is an exciting time, but we know it also comes with nerves... which is why we want to set you up for success and prepare you for what to expect.
If you have already applied or are thinking about applying to a bar, waiting, chef or kitchen assistant role position with us, have a look at what the recruitment process might look like for you.
Our recruitment process includes the following:

Online Application
Application
We want to make our application process simple, especially when applying via your mobile phone.
All we ask is for you to upload your CV (no cover letter needed!) and fill out a quick application form where you can share your details, experience, availability, and any reasonable adjustments you may need
Telephone Screening Call
The call will usually last 15–20 minutes, where the Recruitment Team will look to learn more about your experience and key behaviours for the role. The conversation will be informal, giving you the opportunity to highlight why you are suitable.
Interview at Site
If successful at telephone screening, your details will be passed to the General Manager to consider you for a face-to-face interview at your chosen site. A member of the Recruitment Team will be your main point of contact throughout the process

INTERVIEW
If you are successful at application stage, you will be invited by the manager at the business to attend a face-to-face interview experience.
Your interview is a chance for us to learn more about you.
It should last between 30 - 60 minutes.
It is an opportunity for you to get to know us, understand why our business is special and what your potential role could look like.
INTERVIEW EXPERIENCE
The interview experience will involve:
Your Experience - an opportunity for you to talk through your CV in more detail.
Job Preview - business tour and a skills-based activity to gain understanding of our brand offer and your interaction with our guests and team.
Behavioural based interview questions - an opportunity for you to provide examples of real-life experiences against our M&B Behaviours.

TOP TIPS
Prepare great examples for your interview: Be ready with five to six stories that highlight how you've led and developed teams, managed change and implemented sales driving initiatives. Use clear examples to show patience, teamwork, and initiative, even from non-hospitality roles.
Show you embrace change and challenge: Be ready with two or three stories that highlight how you've supported guests, solved problems, or developed your team. Use clear examples to show patience, teamwork, and initiative, even from non-hospitality roles.
