Read all about it! Samantha's experience as a Team Leader apprentice
Samantha completed our Team Leader Level 2 programme at the The Gryphon Harvester in London. She spoke to us about the programme:
What do you like best about working for M&B?
What I like most about working for M&B is getting to meet new people, both colleagues or customers. I have met some life long friends along the way.
What attracted you to a M&B apprenticeship?
I was attracted to the apprenticeship because it was an opportunity to build on my knowledge and experience, which has helped me with my shift supervising.
What has been your highlight of the apprenticeship experience?
The highlight of my apprenticeship was learning new skills and using them in practice at work. This really helped me to manage my team and when dealing with customers.
What is your favourite part of your job role?
My favourite part of my job role is getting to interact with new people everyday and making sure that their experience at my restaurant is the best possible.
Has the apprenticeship made you view your job role differently?
Yes I would say my apprenticeship has changed my view on my job role differently. For example, it has allowed me to appreciate why certain company policies have been put in place in order to protect us.
Were there any challenges in your role, if you how did you overcome them?
Yes I have had to deal with various challenges throughout my role. These include both team members and customers but the main thing to remember when dealing with any situation is to keep calm and sympathise.
Would you recommend an apprenticeship to your team or friends?
Yes I would definitely recommend this apprenticeship!
What would you tell someone who is considering starting a M&B apprenticeship?
I would advise anyone starting a M&B apprenticeship to be positive and enthusiastic about the role and tasks that will be carried out. This will help you to enjoy the apprenticeship, and also help you be noticed and remembered.
What is your next career goal?
My next goal is to use the knowledge and skills I have learned throughout my course and move up within the company.
