Working towards a team leader role: Olivia's apprenticeship story
Olivia completed our Team Leader Level 2 programme at Pretty Pigs, a Stonehouse restaurant in Tamworth. She spoke to us about the programme:
What do you like best about working for M&B?

What attracted you to a M&B apprenticeship?
Help to support with progression
What has been your highlight of the apprenticeship experience?
Nikki my trainer, and the apprenticeship helped me to grow confidence and learn new skills.
What is your favourite part of your job role?
Serving guests and meeting new people.
Has the apprenticeship made you view your job role differently?
Yes, I feel like I learn all aspects of being a team leader, seeing the business as a whole.
Were there any challenges in your role, if you how did you overcome them?
Managing more mature members of staff, working on it – adapt my approach.
Would you recommend an apprenticeship to your team or friends?
Yes.
What would you tell someone who is considering starting a M&B apprenticeship?
Do the work within timeframe set, don’t leave it til last minute!
What is your next career goal?
District Trainer.
Would you consider doing the next level to further enhance your skills?
Yes.
