Meet the Sizzling Family
Meet Rosie, Sizzling Team Member
Joined the business: 2019
What is the best thing about being a part of the Sizzling family? I love the social aspect of working for Sizzling, it’s the reason I applied for the job 4 years ago, when I was working in my family Butchers! It doesn’t even feel like coming to work as I am surrounded by friends, both team members and regular guests! I could make a best friend on a bus!
What is your favourite Sizzling dish? I love the Clucking Hot Stack!
Who is your dream dinner guest? Definitely Will Ferrell – however, he would have to act as he does in Stepbrothers. It would just be the best day!
What makes M&B different from other employers? I enjoy my job! I love coming to work! We work hard but we enjoy what we do, and this is supported by M&B.
What would you say to someone considering joining Sizzling? I would say do it! We are like a little family. I love coming into work and seeing who I am working with.
Not only that but you get all the training that you need and get the support and recognition from your managers.
Meet Mark, Sizzling Assistant Manager
What is the best thing about being a part of the Sizzling family? It must be interreacting with the locals! It’s the reason I moved from the Kitchen to working front of house years ago.
What is your favourite Sizzling dish? It has to be The Old Faithfull beef burger!
Who is your dream dinner guest? Will Smith, he is a great actor, and I am sure we would have a laugh!
What makes M&B different from other employers? I have worked for a number of different hospitality businesses over the years and what makes M&B stand out is the feeling of recognition and the connection with leaders of the business. In past roles I have sent many emails to leaders without ever meeting them however, within the first month of working for Sizzling I was in a room with a number of Sizzling leaders who were willing to answer any questions we had.
What would you say to someone considering joining Sizzling? Go for it! Working for Sizzling means joining the community. You get to form relationships with the regulars, I even that when some of their birthdays are coming up before they book a table to join us for the celebration!
Meet Ryan, Sizzling Kitchen Manager
Joined the business: July 2022
What is the best thing about being a part of the Sizzling family? Every day is different! There is never a boring day.
What is your favourite Sizzling dish? It’s a hard decision but I would say The Jerk Skewers.
Who is your dream dinner guest? Ainsley Harriott, he is a great chef but also hilarious.
What makes M&B different from other employers? Since I joined M&B 6 months ago, I have received all of the support and training needed for my role. Unlike other employers I have worked for I feel here there is more progression opportunities, not only because of the multiple progression pathways which are available to me but also the range of brands.
What would you say to someone considering joining Sizzling? I would say go for it. Expect to work hard but be rewarded for it. You will learn a hell of a lot along the way!
