At Mitchells & Butlers, our Corporate Graduate Schemes are all about you and your growth. We have a great variety of schemes and each one is personally tailored to fit your development plan, all the while with full support of your new network and your Line Manager right by your side.
You’ll dive into a personalised programme designed to meet your development needs while getting hands-on experience in real-time business projects. Our schemes focus on three main elements:
- Placements
- Technical skills
- Development workshops
Placements are woven into each scheme, offering amazing experiences and helping you develop a wide range of useful skills and expertise in these crucial first steps of your career. Plus, every graduate gets the chance to complete a pub or restaurant placement, where you’ll learn all about how we Serve with Pride and help our teams create unforgettable memories for our guests.

When to apply to Graduate Schemes at M&B
This year, our applications are opening in September.
Here’s how to apply for our Graduate Schemes:
- Online application - head to our Graduate Schemes page and fill out our application form. We’ve tried our best to make the application process as simple and easy for you as possible.
- Video interview - once your application is in, if you meet the entry criteria, you’ll automatically be invited to a video interview. One of our Corporate Recruitment Managers will review your interview and let you know if you’ve made it to the next stage.
- Face-to-face assessment - if you're shortlisted, get ready to join us at our vibrant Retail Support Centre in Birmingham City Centre for an exciting in-person interview and assessment!
- Final interview - nail the face-to-face interview, and you’ll get the chance to meet with Senior Management from your chosen speciality area.
