What is an Operations Graduate Scheme?
Looking to jumpstart your career in hospitality management? Our Operations Graduate Scheme, also known as our Area Management Grad Scheme, is the perfect launchpad!
Over 29 months, we’ll fast-track you to your first Area Manager role and give you the inside scoop on how our business runs like a well-oiled machine.
You’ll get hands-on experience and a deep dive into what makes our pubs, bars, and restaurants tick.
After completing the scheme, we’ll support you to to step into a leadership role, managing up to 15 businesses in one of our brands.

What will I learn in an Operations Graduate Scheme?
Curious about what you'll learn in an Operations Graduate Scheme? Here’s a sneak peek:
You’ll kick things off with hands-on placements in our pubs, bars, or restaurants, diving straight into the action to get a solid feel for the business. Next, you’ll rotate through essential Head Office functions like Marketing and Finance, seeing how the behind-the-scenes magic happens.
Then, you’ll get down to the nitty-gritty of the Back of House, working closely with an Area Manager to understand the core operations. After that, it’s time to step up and manage your own venue as a General Manager, putting everything you’ve learned into practice.
You'll spend time shadowing an Area Manager, gaining valuable insights and mentorship. Finally, you’ll dive into operational placements across our brands and hit the Development Centre for some intensive leadership workshops.
Throughout the scheme, you’ll be supported by a fantastic team - your line manager, placement manager, and a graduate buddy from our community.

The application process
First things first, you’ll need to apply. All we need is a few contact details and your CV.
If your application catches our eye, you’ll be invited to join our 3-stage assessment process. Here’s what’s in store:
- Video interview - we’ll start by getting to know you a bit better. Let your personality shine through and if you make a great impression here, you’ll move on to the next step, where you’ll complete Verbal & Numerical Testing - all from the comfort of your home.
- Face-to-face interview & group assessments - next, we’ll meet you in person at our Retail Support Centre in Birmingham. It’s a chance for you to get to know us better too!
- Final senior management interview - if you ace the previous stages, you’ll have a final chat with our senior management team.
And if everything goes well, you’ll be all set to kick off your exciting journey with us in late September/early October 2025.
