In support of our re-opening, we have an exciting opportunity for a Software Support Analyst. Responsible for providing technical support and expertise across Mitchells & Butlers’ JDA Applications, Workforce Management for Retail and Enterprise Store Operations. As Software Support Analyst will work closely with vendors and your Business Change & Technology and external colleagues to support creating a culture of continuous improvement, ensuring our applications remain up to date, optimised and aligned to our customers’ requirements and the IT Roadmap. Working within our Birmingham city centre head office, you’ll be part of a team of eight, delivering software support across the organisation.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
- Supporting, maintaining, and exploiting the software platform, ensuring that necessary bug fixes, enhancements, upgrades and infrastructure are fit for purpose and able to meet business requirements and for applications to be efficient and effective
- Proactively owning the resolution of technical issues and problems, through focused, effective problem management, and by delivering preventative support initiatives
- Owning and managing the configuration of applications, with a detailed understanding of how the configurations support the wider business processes
- Owning and tracking the delivery of software updates, patches, and service improvements, liaising with the Release and Change Manager as required
- Following appropriate standards and best practices, aligned to ITIL industry standards to ensure adherence to Business Change & Technology guidelines
WHAT DO I NEED?

- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a support role within IT
- Significant experience and understanding of supply chain and workforce management applications and prevailing technologies including some of the following:
- JDA Enterprise Store Operations (ESO)
- JDA Workforce Management for Retail (WFM)
- Business Intelligence and Reporting suites
- Database Management
- Stock Management
- Workforce Management
- Experience resolving technical problems and communicating with business users and key stakeholders
- Approachable style with a passion for continuously improving systems
