Are you an experienced IT Vendor Manager looking to draw on your proven expertise in a multi-functional company and industry? If so, we may have an opportunity for you! As Mitchells & Butlers, we own and run more than 1,600 pubs, bars and restaurants including the stylish All Bar One brand, legendary Miller & Carter steakhouses, and the iconic Toby Carvery. We are actively sourcing a Vendor Manager to join our award winning internal IT team and join our journey!

 

The Opportunity – IT Vendor Manager 

 

You will make an impact in role by focusing and delivering across four key areas: Relationship Management, Contract & Performance Management, Budget Management & Vendor Selection Management. As IT Vendor Manager you will: -

  • Establishing and maintaining mutually beneficial relationships with IT vendors
  • Monitoring and measuring vendor performance against their contractual obligations; with a focus prioritised by the vendor’s strategic importance to Mitchells & Butlers.
  • Within Contract & Vendor Performance Management: -
    • Ensuring vendor contracts are both cost effective and deliver high quality service
    • Ensuring vendors meet contractual obligations, and
    • Where appropriate implementing agreed processes to remediate and improve vendor performance through measurable performance metrics
  • Driving and developing effective working relationships with internal stakeholders, especially in the Procurement and Legal teams and with business owners
  • Working closely with both IT Project Managers and IT Service Delivery Managers to onboard new services; supporting with necessary commercial and contractual agreement
  • Supporting the delivery of timely business outcomes, within a fast-paced environment, by employing a pragmatic approach and ensuring necessary and sufficient contractual controls.
  • Influencing, engage and negotiate with vendors and internal stakeholders to find the best outcome for the business
  • Managing significant budgets and control payment schedules for the vendors

What you’ll need to bring to this IT Vendor Manager role…

  • Established professional with solid experience delivering in a IT or Vendor Management or Contract Management role
  • Proven capability in influencing, engaging and negotiating with a variety of vendors and internal key stakeholders
  • Proven track record in agile contract management, change control and dispute management

  • Ability to work to deadlines and project timelines, priorities and workload
